BLADDER CANCER

Bladder Cancer tumours usually begin in the inner lining of the bladder in the mucosa lining. In time the tumour grows into the deeper layers of bladder tissue including the Lamina Propria, then the muscle layer and finally the perivesical fat layer. Bladder tumours are given a tumour stage based on their size and and how far they have grown into the body. This diagnostic staging then guides the treatment options available to you.
